To get your share of the proposed settlement, if it is approved by the Court, you must confirm below that you want to make a claim and that you consent to Merchant Law sharing your information with Class Counsel. You must do this before the deadline. If you do not make a claim, you will not receive a portion of the settlement funds.
What you are agreeing to
Merchant Law has the records of who paid and how much. By making a claim, you consent to Merchant Law sharing your name, contact details and the amount you paid in retainer fees with Class Counsel (CFM Lawyers LLP and Sotos LLP), so that your share can be calculated and paid.
If you make a claim, you will not be able to start or continue your own lawsuit against Merchant Law about the same claims that are included in this class action. The amount you receive will depend on how much you paid to Merchant Law as a retainer fee and on how many Class Members make claims. You can still object to the settlement after making a claim.
